“Silverfish” Corey Taylor Lyrics
Call off your dogs. The master’s gone
I haven’t broken any laws
And I can’t hear you over all the thunderous applause
The bastards got away
So come on in, sit down: you’re right on time
All you need to know is leave your worries far behind
What do you have to lose besides your mind?
No one’s gonna save me lord
No one’s gonna save me when I die
Call out for help. The tables have turned but the victims don’t forget
It’s no holds barred when you wrestle with your own regrets
It feels so cold today
So come on in, sit down: You’re right on time
All you need to know is leave your worries far behind
What do you have to lose besides your mind?
No one’s gonna save me lord
No one’s gonna save me when I die
So come on in, sit down: you’re right on time
All you need to know is leave your worries far behind
What do you have to lose besides your mind?
No one’s gonna save me lord
No one’s gonna save me when I die
No one’s gonna save me when I die
Lyrical Diary: “Silverfish” Corey Taylor Lyrics
“Silverfish” Corey Taylor Lyrics. Writer(s): Dustin Robert Schoenhofer, Corey Taylor, Jason Christopher Rappise, Christopher Anthony Martucci, Zachary Throne
Corey Taylor’s newest album, CMFT, is a return to his early hardcore punk roots. The album’s lead single and title track, “CMFT,” is a catchy ode to the Silverfish that populate his home. Born in Michigan and raised in Illinois, Taylor has long been fascinated by these small but resilient creatures. He explains: “Silverfish are amazing. They’re one of the things I learned about as a kid that blew my mind. I always loved their resilience; they can get through anything.” The song features lyrics explicitly written for Taylor by longtime collaborator Jesse Hughes (of Korn). The track captures the energy and excitement of young love, with Taylor singing about how Silverfish remind him of the person he loves most: “She’s so tiny, and we don’t have much, but she makes me feel so big/, And I love everything about her/I love her smile, and I love her laugh, and I love her silverfish.”

Lyrical Diary-
Enjoy reading lyrics and trying to do them more than just lyrics, trying to have some more me. I enjoy doing this because it allows me to express myself in a unique way that not everyone can do. It also gives me a chance to learn new things, which I appreciate.
Lyrics are a way to communicate emotions, and they can be used to entertain or provoke an emotional response in the listener. Therefore, lyricists need to use complex academic jargon to evoke a strong emotional response. They can create a connection with their listener and hopefully evoke a feeling of enjoyment or pleasure.
