“One Step Closer” Linkin Park Lyrics

[Chester Bennington:]
I cannot take this anymore
Saying everything I’ve said before
All these words: they make no sense
I find bliss in ignorance
Less I hear the less you’ll say
You’ll find that out anyway

Just like before…

Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I’m about to break
I need a little room to breathe
‘Cause I’m one step closer to the edge
I’m about to break

I find the answers aren’t so clear
Wish I could find a way to disappear
All these thoughts: they make no sense
I find bliss in ignorance
Nothing seems to go away
Over and over again

Just like before…

Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I’m about to break
I need a little room to breathe
‘Cause I’m one step closer to the edge
I’m about to break

Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I’m about to break
I need a little room to breathe
‘Cause I’m one step closer to the edge
And I’m about to… break!

Shut up when I’m talking to you
Shut up, shut up, shut up
Shut up when I’m talking to you
Shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up
I’m about to break!

Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I’m about to break
I need a little room to breathe
‘Cause I’m one step closer to the edge
I’m about to break

Everything you say to me
Takes me one step closer to the edge
And I’m about to break
I need a little room to breathe
‘Cause I’m one step closer to the edge
And I’m about to…
Break!

Lyrical Diary : “One Step Closer” Linkin Park Lyrics

“One Step Closer” Linkin Park Lyrics album: “Hybrid Theory” (2000). Writer(s): Mike Shinoda, Chester Charles Bennington, Joseph Hahn, Robert G. Bourdon, Brad Delson

This track was chosen to serve as the lead single for the album, and it was also Linkin Park’s very first single overall. It is one of their most popular songs and has been playing practically every time they have performed live.

The lyrics “I cannot take this anymore” and “Everything you say to me gets me one step closer to the edge” were written out of aggravation when the band’s producer Don Gilmore repeatedly turned down the lyrics for this song multiple times.

During an interview in January 2008 for the publication Kerrang!, Mike Shinoda discussed the recording of this song “This was composed in the apartment I currently reside in. The lyrics took a few attempts to get right, but the music came together quite quickly.” The process was interrupted by an angry neighbour who pounded on the wall. Even though he could not hear the music, the screaming that Chester Bennington was doing into the microphone drove him crazy.

This song was featured in the closing credits of the movie “Dracula 2000.”

This song was reworked by Linkin Park and used on their album “Reanimation,” which has a track called “1Stp Klosr.” Jonathan Davis, the main singer for the band Korn, contributed vocals to it.

We would appreciate it if you could let us know as soon as possible so we can correct the mistake and update the song as soon as possible. We would love to get them corrected for our readers.

Song Bangladesh-Lyrical Diary

Bangla Song Lyrics – Enjoy reading lyrics and trying to do them more than just lyrics, trying to have some more me. I enjoy doing this because it allows me to express myself in a unique way that not everyone can do. It also gives me a chance to learn new things, which I appreciate.

Lyrics are a way to communicate emotions, and they can be used to entertain or provoke an emotional response in the listener. Therefore, lyricists need to use complex academic jargon to evoke a strong emotional response. They can create a connection with their listener and hopefully evoke a feeling of enjoyment or pleasure.
