It is the wee hours of the morning on Christmas morning. This sleeping couple discovers their stockings still hanging nearby when they come awake. This is something that could be played at future Christmases. And it would be wonderful because we want to own Christmas and New Year’s Eve, similar to how we own the phrase “Happy New Year.”
