“Points Of Authority” Linkin Park Lyrics

[Mike Shinoda:]
Forfeit the game
Before somebody else
Takes you outta the frame
And puts your name to shame
Cover up your face
You can’t run the race
The pace is too fast
You just won’t last

[Chester Bennington:]
You love the way I look at you
While taking pleasure in the awful things you put me through
You take away if I give in
My life
My pride is broken

You like to think you’re never wrong
(You live what you’ve learned)
You have to act like you’re someone
(You live what you’ve learned)
You want someone to hurt like you
(You live what you’ve learned)
You want to share what you’ve been through
(You live what you’ve learned)

You love the things I say I’ll do
The way I hurt myself again just to get back at you
You take away when I give in
My life
My pride is broken

You like to think you’re never wrong
(You live what you’ve learned)
You have to act like you’re someone
(You live what you’ve learned)
You want someone to hurt like you
(You live what you’ve learned)
You want to share what you’ve been through
(You live what you’ve learned)

[Mike Shinoda:]
Forfeit the game
Before somebody else
Takes you outta the frame
And puts your name to shame
Cover up your face
You can’t run the race
The pace is too fast
You just won’t last

Forfeit the game
Before somebody else
Takes you outta the frame
And puts your name to shame
Cover up your face
You can’t run the race
The pace is too fast
You just won’t last

[Chester Bennington:]
You like to think you’re never wrong
(You live what you’ve learned)
You have to act like you’re someone
(You live what you’ve learned)
You want someone to hurt like you
(You live what you’ve learned)
You want to share what you’ve been through
(You live what you’ve learned)

[Chester Bennington (Mike Shinoda):]
You like to think you’re never wrong
(Forfeit the game)
You live what you’ve learned
You have to act like you’re someone
(Forfeit the game)
You live what you’ve learned
You want someone to hurt like you
(Forfeit the game)
You live what you’ve learned
You want to share what you’ve been through
You live what you’ve learned

Lyrical Diary : “Points Of Authority” Linkin Park Lyrics

“Points Of Authority” Linkin Park Lyrics.album: “Hybrid Theory” (2000). Writer(s): Mike Shinoda, Chester Charles Bennington, Joseph Hahn, Robert G. Bourdon, Brad Delson, Dave Farrell

This song depicts the narrative of a child abused when they were younger. The experience of sexual assault that Chester Bennington endured for an extended period during his childhood served as the inspiration for the song.
Both of this song’s demos were released on the record “Underground X: Demos” (one of which was titled “Oh No”) and the record “Underground 12.0.” (with slightly altered lyrics).
The song was used in the movie “Little Nicky,” released in 2000 and starring Adam Sandler.

The “Pts.Of.Athrty” remix of this song was the sole single to be released in conjunction with the “Reanimation” remix album (2002). On the album “Underground 2.0,” there is also a remix done by The Crystal Method.

This track was collaborated on by American rapper Jay-Z for the release of the mash-up EP titled “Collision Course.”

The music video for the remix of “Pts.Of.Athrty” was influenced musically by the movie “Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within” (2001).

Song Bangladesh-Lyrical Diary

Bangla Song Lyrics – Enjoy reading lyrics and trying to do them more than just lyrics, trying to have some more me. I enjoy doing this because it allows me to express myself in a unique way that not everyone can do. It also gives me a chance to learn new things, which I appreciate.

Lyrics are a way to communicate emotions, and they can be used to entertain or provoke an emotional response in the listener. Therefore, lyricists need to use complex academic jargon to evoke a strong emotional response. They can create a connection with their listener and hopefully evoke a feeling of enjoyment or pleasure.
